RAINFOREST PROTECTION IN ECUADOR  – AN OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR FUTURE

Munay Amazonas für den Schutz des Regenwald

MUNAY AMAZONAS IS THE WONDERFUL AMAZON AND WAKAMAYU IS HIS GUARDIAN, THE ADORABLE PARROT

Our vision is to protect the Amazon rainforest, this wonderful tropical ecosystem, with all its species and preserve it for our children.

Together we will reforest the forest. Through its sustainable use, we create the basis for life that preserves the rainforest for all future generations.

WHAT WE DO

MUNAY AMAZON FROM A PARROT'S PERSPECTIVE

A multi-layered project that addresses all levels of environmental protection. Trees are not simply planted, but the soil is created for strong roots. Education, food supply and a stable income for the indigenous population create the foundation for the preservation of the rainforest.

WHAT WE ALLOW TO CREATE

OUR PROJECT EGGS CLOSE-UP

Our Munay Amazon parrot's nest already has valuable eggs that now need to be incubated. Together with your support, they will grow into cute little chicks and then into magnificent parrots that protect the rainforest.

WHERE TO FIND US

ARCHIDONA IN ECUADOR – A JEWEL ON THE RIO NAPO

Here, traditional ways of life merge with the challenges of the economic and political situation in the country of Ecuador in a dreamlike river landscape full of life.

Thousands of hectares of land are for sale in the region and have apparently lost their value due to exploitative use. Forests have been cleared, the soil is infertile, monocultures and excessive use of pesticides no longer produce the necessary yield.

Especially here, with traditional, indigenous knowledge in combination with scientific findings and the appropriate methods, both the forest and the biodiversity and fertility of the soil can be restored in a very short time. Resilience is the magic word: with little support, nature regenerates itself.
